About Me

Born, raised and educated in the Netherlands, I arrived in Canada in 1973. I have been self employed since that time. I owned and ran a successful furniture manufacturing company until 1996. At the same time I obtained my real estate license in 1981. I have been an active real estate agent in the North Muskoka, Almaguin area since 1997 and have represented Century 21 since 1998. While I am located in the Huntsville office, Century 21 has 2 associated offices, one in Dorset and the other in Burks Falls. This provides a broad base of listing and contacts which ensures a large inventory of properties to chose from.

 Although I moved to the Huntsville area as a full time resident in early 1997, the area is well known to me as I have cottaged in the area since 1987. With the move to Huntsville I closed the manufacturing company to concentrate on the real estate profession. This allowed me work in and enjoy the unique Muskoka, Almaguin area, with its clear lakes, beautiful scenery and fresh air. It is a pleasure to see new clients from all over the world, enjoying this area and to assist them with the purchase of their dream property. No matter what is being purchased, commercial, residential, vacant land or a cottage, it is always a challenge to find the property that is the perfect one for them.

 During the sometimes lengthy process of finding exactly the right property, many of these same clients have become good friends.

 Demand for property in the Muskoka and Almaguin area remains high due to the number of people, often baby boomers, looking to relocate to our area from Southern Ontario. With the improvements and four laning of HWY11 to the north of Huntsville, demand for property to the north is growing in leaps and bounds.

My dedication to the local real estate industry has been recognised by Century 21 and I have been fortunate enough to receive numerous awards for my sales efforts. In 2001 I received a Masters Silver award and in 2004 I was the recipient of the Gold Centurion         award for sales.
